Paragraph
6. Property held on settlement ceasing to exist
This paragraph is inteded to ensure that whe an existing settlement has
ceased to be a settlement for the purposes of the Settled Land Act 1925 it
does not become a settlement again when further property is added to it. It
would seem that this provision is unnecessary as a result of the wording of
Section 2(4) . The paragraph
provides that such added property "is held on trust for the persons
interested under the settlement". It must be implied that they take on the
trusts and subject to the powers and provisions of the settlement.
