It is intended that this site will contain a number of different items, most of which will have some link, possibly tenuous, with the Law. At the moment the main item on it is "the New Land Law" which is an annotated commentary, with full links to the statute, on the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. "Party Walls" will in time be a similar commentary on the oddly named Party Walls Etc. Act 1996. "Markup, Typesetting and the Law" shows how markup can save time and trouble and how I use one particular typesetting program, TeX, for that purpose. "Capital Gains Tax Indexation Allowance" contains links to the Inland Revenue Press Releases available on the internet which set out the indexation allowance for that tax for each month. "Ignorance of the Law" sets out the development of sources of British law on the internet and includes some links. I will be pleased to receive comments on any of these items.
