1996 Statutory Instruments

HMSO commenced putting Statutory Instruments on its Internet Site at the beginning of 1997. No SIs published before that time are available on that site.

I have put on this site a commentary on the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 called "the New Land Law". As is usual, parts of the new legislation are supplemented by statutory instruments and three were published during 1996 (and so are not on the HMSO site).

These three SIs can be found here. They are published with the permission of the Controller of HMSO in accordance with the provisions of the DP letter.

The first two have been copied from the printed versions. The third, the Land Registration Rules, has been converted by me into HTML from the SGML source which was supplied to me by HMSO. Please note that the printed versions are the only authoritative versions: the conversion process could have given rise to errors.

These SIs will soon be linked to the text of the Act and to the commentary on the Act. At the moment, however, they are "stand alone".
